Kingsman Homes wins prestigious LABC Building Excellence Award

17th June 2014

Kingsman Homes were delighted to be finalists in two categories at the 2014 West Yorkshire Regional LABC Building Excellence Awards, but were thrilled when we were announced as winner of the Best Single Dwelling category!

LABC Building Excellence Awards 2014 - Winner

Winners of the regional Awards, which recognise builders and developers who achieve continuous high standards of workmanship, now have the opportunity to be nominated for the prestigious National Awards held in London in November.

Rosefield - award-winning large detached home in HonleyOur winning project was ‘Rosefield’ in Honley - an exclusive new build large detached property set in a semi-rural location. The 5 bedroom home was built sympathetically in reclaimed Yorkshire stone to sit comfortably in its surroundings.

Set within grounds approaching 1.5 acres, Rosefield is also surrounded by extensive mature landscaped gardens and woodland, and has its own paddock with stables.

Hogley Green - barn and cottage conversionThe project nominated in the Restoration and Conversion - Small Projects category was ‘Hogley Green Barn & Cottage Conversion’. We used all our skill and knowledge to convert a derelict farm barn and cottage into two beautiful homes, which perfectly combine the best of contemporary design with character details.

Kingsman Homes Director Scott McDonald said: “We were delighted to be nominated in two categories at the awards and over the moon to have won! These LABC awards are a fantastic opportunity to highlight the quality and craftsmanship that is being produced in our region from small, local builders like ourselves, as well as the larger building companies.

We really are chuffed to bits and would like to thank our architect partners on both projects - Acumen Architects for Rosefield and Wake Architects for Hogley Green.”
